Garage
products can help reduce your energy bill
What can you
do to reduce your energy bill as fuel cost continues to rise?
Here are a few products we offer, plus a few helpful tips.
Products
for your garage:
You might not
immediately consider making your garage more energy efficient,
but believe it or not a hot garage heats up your house during
the hot summer months, and on the flip side a cold garage can
cause your home to use more energy too.
 The
Radiant Insulation for Garage Doors is inexpensive and
easy to install yourself. This product attaches to the garage
door with a high temperature double sided tape. The garage
door insulation wrap reflects 97% of the radiant heat coming
in from the door, keeping your garage up to 20 degrees cooler
in the summer, and keeping it warmer in the winter. With the
added insulation the garage will have improved temperature
regulation thus lowering the energy consumption of the home.

To
finish off your garage door, you can install the
Garage Door Threshold Kit. This kit easily installs
to the garage floor where the door comes down to meet the
concrete. The threshold kit creates a tight seal keeping the
outside elements such as water, debris, and pest out of your
garage. This tight seal helps keep cooler air trapped in the
summer, and warmer air in the winter in your garage when used
with other insulation products.
 Cooling
your garage with the
Garage
Fan and Attic Cooler – install it yourself, and saves
energy. The unit moves the hot air out of the garage and into
the attic though a fan mounted in the garage ceiling. The
GF-14
Fan brings in cooler air through the bottom front (door intake
grills) of the garage blowing up the hop air into the attic
pushing this super heated air out the existing attic vents.
By doing so, the GF-14 will help cool the garage up to 20
degrees and the attic up to 40 degrees and may lower the air
conditioner load, reducing your energy consumption.
